Fruit Break on Foot

The pottery of Tamegroute is specific to this single city.

It is a local artisanal production whose ancestral techniques have not changed until today.

These traditions and this heritage preciously preserve this know-how.

It is an alloy of manganese (contained in kohl), copper oxide and barley flour that gives the enamel pottery of Tamegroute this rich color ranging from fir green to olive green.

Without the addition of copper, artisans get a brown / ocher enamel. This gives a pottery thick, rustic, authentic, with rich and deep shades of green and the rugged surface, with drips, drops, ripples.

It is these imperfections that we appreciate in this dish of southern Morocco.
